![]() ![]() I know the high end meters have their own power supply, report which satellite is being recieved and can operate the multiswitches. I think people originally used the receiver as the power supply, connecting the meter in-line at the dish, then confirming at the receiver viewing the correct satellite. I'm not sure what and SF-95 is but if it puts out ~15 volts and the 600 mA you should be good to power the meter and LNB. I would just use 1 of the 2 coax cables while peaking, then connect the second after the dish is aimed and bolts are all tighened down. Again, I've never used a meter to peak, but the reason the instructions have you connect the meter on port 1 is that is the default output for the 119 (center) position, so in theory you don't need the foil. Unless you end up needing to receive signal from a 4th satellite you won't need any additional equip. If you do decide to go single coax and separator, you'll already have a second coax for backfeeding the RF out to another room's TV, or a coax cable for an outside antenna. Using 2 separate coax cables to the tuner shouldn't hurt anything. It worked as I was able to locate 61.5 satellite through the trees. I couldn't really make out the signal, but could see movement on the signal bar and hear the tones as I found the satellite. One time I had an old receiver on the roof feeding a pocket sized b&w TV. No signal on tv dish install#I seem to remember something about the 1000.2 coming with a temporary bracket that would let you use a single LNB in the middle spot to aim the dish at 119 (no switches), then remove and install the 3 eye LNB. I'm not sure if it was about the built in switch or the current required for the LNB or it might have been with DishProPlus Twins, which were used on the original Dish 1000. I seem to remember some issues with the 1000.2 and meters. I've never used a meter to aim the dish, I've always used the receiver and tv. You'd need a DishPro LNB for that (I don't remember if you had DishPro or Legacy equipment). Your 1000.2 also has an 'Input' connection that can be feed from another dish LNB to pick up 1 more satellite signal, so if additional programming were added to either the 61.5 or 148 sats you could just swing your old 500 toward those. On another forum someone mentioned hinted about potential new programming being sent from the 148 satellite, but at this point I suspect it would be for west coast local channels. It picks up all 3 main programming satellites for dish and that all you should need to receive your programming, inlcuding all the HD the 942 will pick up. We’ll be happy to help. With the 1000.2, the switches are built into the LNB and it will feed 3 separate receivers, either single or dual tuners (with separator at receiver). Is it pointing in the right direction and is the small box at the end of the arm (the LNB) attached? If your dish is damaged, misaligned or you have some other problem with your system it might be wise to call us. If after taking these steps you haven’t been able to correct the issue, your next step is to take a look at your satellite dish. If after this time you are still receiving the error message, take the next step. The box can take up to two minutes to fully initialise again so don’t keep trying to turn it on repeatedly during this time, you may extend the restart process. You need to either remove the power cord or turn off the power at the wall, wait ten seconds and then turn it on again. The common error most people make here though, is to simply turn it on and off by the power button on the box or remote. While it may seem obvious, the next thing to do is turn your box on and off. If, however, you experience disruption even in light rain then there are a number of options we can discuss with you. If your signal problems are being caused by bad weather you’ll unfortunately have to wait for the weather to improve. In heavy wind, rain, snow or thunderstorms satellite signals can be disrupted. If you have no satellite signal and you see this error on your screen, there are a few things you can do before calling us.įirstly you need to be aware of the weather. ![]()
